Check Out Our Latest Work in San Antonio!

Intertech’s San Antonio team recently led our work on the Army Residence Community Expansion, an assisted and independent living retirement community in San Antonio, with general contractor Koontz McCombs Construction. According to Marmon Mok registered interior designer Jennifer Gilbert, RID, IIDA, LEED AP, “The Army Residence Community was established for active retirement living in a Continuing Care Community, and was designed to meet the needs of retired career military officers in all branches of U.S. military service. The newest expansion to open at ARC is the Lakeside Landing, a common use space for the community and a 48-room assisted living facility. It offers a restaurant, 100-seat theater, medical and dental offices, a convenience store, beauty salon, sports bar and a bank.

“The design challenges for this project were selecting interior finishes that would provide a safe environment in a senior care facility and capture a Tuscan style. Consideration in the interior finishes was given for attributes that would help reach our certified LEED goals. Mannington was able to provide us with broadloom carpet that included a moisture barrier, CRI Green Label Plus certified and increased recycled content in a variety of patterns to help meet the needs of our client. Dal-Tile offered a floor tile that lent itself to a Tuscan feel and offered a high recycled content and was a regional material to our area.”
