Intertech's Vicente Garza Rio Grande Valley Commercial Flooring VP of Operations

Vicente Garza – Leading with Excellence in the Rio Grande Valley Commercial Flooring Industry

VP of Operations Balances Commercial Flooring Expertise with Deep Roots in Texas Cattle Industry

When Vicente Garza joined Intertech Flooring 17 years ago, he brought more than flooring expertise to his role as Rio Grande Valley Commercial Flooring VP of Operations. He brought a generational understanding of hard work, quality and commitment that runs as deep as the South Texas soil.

Today, as Intertech’s Rio Grande Valley Commercial Flooring VP of Operations, Vicente leads complex commercial flooring projects while maintaining an impressive presence in another world entirely: the competitive cattle industry, where his family has built a name for excellence spanning three generations.

Building Excellence in Commercial Flooring

Vicente’s impact on Intertech’s South Texas operations is substantial. Over 17 years, he has led major projects including the UTRGV Cancer & Surgery Center, Corpus Christi Airport Remodel, and Brownsville PUB Board Annex Building.

But the McAllen Medical Center stands out as a defining moment: a 4-year undertaking that everyone in the region knows about. More than just a showcase of flooring expertise, this project opened doors to specialized work that Intertech now offers throughout the area, including wall protection, Altro Whiterock® and custom metal work. Vicente’s team has proven time and again they can handle the most specialized and complex commercial flooring work in the region. That reputation continues to open doors and create opportunities.

“What I find most unique about working at Intertech is how family-oriented the company is,” Vicente says. That family focus aligns perfectly with his own values, both in business and in life.

His approach to work reflects the principles he lives by: “Always shoot for the best quality, be honest and transparent with customers, and perform better than you promise.” It’s a philosophy that applies equally well whether you’re installing commercial flooring or raising championship cattle.

A Legacy Built on 4 de Julio Beefmasters

Outside the office, Vicente’s life centers on the family ranch: 4 de Julio Beefmasters. As a 3rd-generation cattleman and 2nd-generation Beefmaster Breeder, he’s carrying forward a legacy while writing new chapters.

The reach of his involvement in the cattle industry is extensive. Vicente serves as:

  • Beefmaster Breeders United Committee Chair for Mexico
  • Beefmaster Mexico International Committee member
  • Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association Committee Member
  • Cactus Country 4H Advisor
  • Edinburg Vela FFA Booster Club President
  • Live Oak Beefmaster Breeders Associate Board Member
  • Beefmaster Promotion Group Board Member

The 4 de Julio operates on both sides of the border, with cattle in both the USA and Mexico. The family owns EMS Bubba Sniper, currently the only Beefmaster bull to have won the American Division at the San Antonio Stock Show.

Raising the Next Generation

Vicente and his wife, Yesica, have raised three children who’ve learned the value of hard work and excellence from watching their parents. The whole family shows cattle at major stock shows throughout Texas, from the West Texas Fair and Rodeo to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, San Antonio Stock Show, Austin Rodeo, Houston Stock Show & Rodeo and beyond.

Vicente III, 18, recently started at Texas A&M University in College Station, majoring in agricultural leadership and development with plans to attend law school and become an attorney. He currently serves as president of the Junior Beefmaster Association and made history last year as the first student from his school to place in the top 10 for two consecutive years in the State LDE competition.

Vicente Garza III and all his awards

Daughter Sofia, 17, balances her role as president of the Robert Vela FFA Board with playing varsity soccer. She also served as one of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Cover Girls and was part of the Royal Court of the Texas Citrus Fiesta. As secretary of the Junior Beefmaster Association, she’s following in her father’s footsteps of leadership and service.

Santiago, 14, serves as an ambassador for the Junior Beefmaster Association, laying the groundwork for leadership at a young age.

“Most of my colleagues don’t know how deep my involvement with the cattle industry is,” Vicente admits. Between the family’s cattle operations spanning two countries, the competition schedule and his committee work, it’s a second full-time job, one he balances alongside his responsibilities at Intertech.

Finding Balance

When Vicente has free time, you’ll find him with his family on the ranch. It’s where he recharges and where the values that guide his professional life are reinforced daily: hard work, integrity, quality and commitment.

His favorite places to visit reflect an appreciation for natural beauty and adventure. Yellowstone National Park tops the list. But home is where his heart is, whether that’s the 4 de Julio ranch or the Rio Grande Valley office where he’s helped build Intertech’s reputation for excellence.

The Intertech Advantage

Vicente’s story reflects what makes Intertech special. It’s a company where people matter, where family comes first, and where doing the right thing is always more than just a tagline on the wall.

“How family-oriented the company is” isn’t just what Vicente appreciates about Intertech. It’s what he brings to the organization every day. His leadership in the Rio Grande Valley has helped establish Intertech as the go-to commercial flooring partner in South Texas, known for quality work, honest communication and going above and beyond expectations.

Building Something That Lasts

Whether he’s leading a commercial flooring project or showing cattle with his kids, Vicente Garza approaches everything with the same commitment to excellence. His 17 years at Intertech have helped shape the company’s presence in the Rio Grande Valley, just as his work with Beefmaster breeders is shaping the future of the cattle industry.

It’s the kind of leadership that comes from deep roots and strong values, the kind that builds something lasting, whether that’s a commercial flooring company, a cattle operation or a family legacy.

At Intertech, we’re proud to have Vicente leading our Rio Grande Valley operations. His dedication to quality, his honest approach to business and his commitment to doing things right reflect exactly who we are as a company.

That’s the Intertech advantage in action, led by people like Vicente who bring their whole selves to work every day, building excellence one project, one relationship, one day at a time.
