Global Electronics Manufacturer
Location: Taylor & Georgetown, TX
- Sector: High Tech/Manufacturing
- Client: Global electronics manufacturer supplying the semiconductor and EV supply chain
- Product: Global raised access flooring with StaticWorks ESD interlocking tile
- Scale: Grew from 15,000 sf to roughly 150,000 sf. Approximately a $2 million project.
A supplier to the region's biggest semiconductor and EV names needed an ESD-rated floor in four weeks. The standard lead time is eight to twelve. Intertech already had it in stock.
THE CHALLENGE
The client was racing to stand up a parts facility to support a new chip plant in Taylor. Phase 0 had to be finished in four weeks. The production area required ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection across the floor, and the usual path, pre-finished access flooring with ESD topping ordered from the factory, runs eight to twelve weeks. That timeline would have put the whole schedule at risk.
OUR SOLUTION
Intertech keeps raised access flooring in stock for exactly this scenario, a system built after years of watching lead times derail good projects. We paired in-stock raised access with StaticWorks ESD interlocking tile, which installs over raised access or straight over concrete, then matched a 12x12 glue-down ESD tile in the production area. Deep manufacturer relationships turned "how fast can you get it" into 10,000 square feet shipping that same week.
THE RESULT
What started as 15,000 square feet of raised access grew into roughly 150,000 square feet of ESD flooring across the production area, a project worth about $2 million spanning the client's Taylor and Georgetown sites. Intertech came in well under competing bids, not by being the cheapest, but because the right relationships make good work affordable.
