The Texas Southmost College Arts Center in Brownsville needed flooring that matched the artistry happening inside. Intertech's expertise in intricate patterns and custom installation helped this music education hub earn recognition as a Texas Construction Best of 2010 award winner.
DESCRIPTION
This 57,528-square-foot facility serves as the college's hub for music education, requiring flooring installations that reflected the same attention to detail as the performances held within its walls. Intertech's work showcased eight VCT colors hand cut in the field into intricate patterns throughout the lobby and administrative areas.
The stairs featured two-color carpeting that demanded custom-level installation expertise. Our team installed custom Mohawk Lees and Tandus Monterrey carpets along with Mannington Designer Essentials VCT in the lobby, stairs, dressing areas and other back-of-house administrative spaces.
The project ran from September 2009 through completion in February 2010. Intertech's longstanding relationship with Skanska and proven ability to handle complex installations made us the right choice for this award-winning project.
